At Nuva, we are all about looking after your core, with everything that means.
It’s about being healthy on the inside and not just looking good on the outside, about staying fit by drinking infused water instead of sugary, fattening drinks, and above all about looking after what makes you you. With all that in mind, I’m holding an event at Wholefoods in Kensington, London, where you can combine a dynamic yoga session from instructor Emma Jaulin with a demonstration on how to infuse water, followed by a chance to experiment with your own flavours. Maybe you’ll even be the one to create the next Nuva flavour! Though even if that doesn’t happen, I see it as a good chance for me to bring some of these ideas to life and for us to have some fun into the bargain.
The event, which will be held on Friday July 22 at midday, is open to guys and gals, and you certainly don’t have to have had any previous experience with yoga. Dynamic yoga is a gentle exercise which is focused on stretching the core of your body. The point of it is to stretch every day people and not just super fit athletes. I’m really into that, as I think a lot of people get put off doing exercise because they think you have to be in perfect shape already to set foot in a gym.
I’ll be on hand to show you everything I know about water infusions, and why I believe they’re the best thing in hydration. For me, they really work because ordinary water can be boring, and infusions add taste without adding sugar or artificial flavours. After you’ve had a chance to try your own, there’s a goodie bag to look forward to. The idea behind the gifts in it is that they are similar products to Nuva in principle - things that are convenient or that you can grab on the go which are made with loving care and won’t be bad for you.
Here’s a clue as to what you’ll find in the goodie bag: Clearspring is a distributor of authentic, organic fine foods, worth following on Twitter (@ClearspringUK) for their vegan and macrobiotic recipe ideas. I’ve also teamed up with Crystal Spring, a range of natural deodorants which smell great, are effective, and are soft on the skin; Kromland Farm, producers of delicious Rooibos tea, Peppersmith gum, made with xylitol which protects your teeth while you chew, and last but not least, Pulsin snack bars, fruit bars and protein powders, all tasty but with an eye on what’s good for you.
If you want to join for just £10 for 90 minutes, here’s a link to the event. Hope to see you there!
